Day 1: Arrive in Naples

Welcome to Naples!  After your arrival at the airport, make your own way to your hotel for check-in and then enjoy the remainder of the day to relax and start exploring Naples.

Day 2: Naples | Pompeii | Mt. Vesuvius

Following breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up and off to your full day excursion. During this day you explore the fascinating ancient ruins of Pompeii with the local guide, you hike to the summit of Mt. Vesuvius and peer into the crater. Arrived in Pompeii you visit the excavations where the tour guide will show the most fascinating places like the Forum, Thermal Baths, Vetti’s house and “Lupanare” burnt by volcanic ashes and lapilli during the eruption in 79 A.D. Once finished the visit, After Pompeii, drive up Mt Vesuvius and stop in a local restaurant for a typical Italian light  lunch (water included). Whereupon, our driver will lead you to 1000 m altitude and once there you will walk to the real top of the volcano to see the crater. At the summit, you can enjoy the explanation made by a professional guide of the National Park, or just peek into the crater on your own. You will admire the summit of Mount Somma (1133 m) and to the right the cone of Vesuvius (1281 m), both separated by a valley, called Valley of the Giant. Mt Vesuvius is majestic and stunning at the same time. It is absolutely worth visiting! Return to your hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable evening.  (B)
